Ingredients
- 4 McIntosh apples, peeled and sliced ( about 2 lbs )
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 talb water
- 1 talb butter
Directions
Toss together first four ingredients in a gallon ziploc plastic bag, tossing to coat apples.
Cook apple mixture, 2 talb water and 1 talb of butter in a medium sauspan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, cook about 8 to 10 minutes or until apples are tender.
Serving Ideas
Serve warm cinnamon apples by themselves, over vanilla ice cream, with pancakes or waffles, or next to pork chops for a sweet side dish.
