Tips for Sausage Gravy
Do not drain the sausage after browning it. The drippings help the flour make a flavorful gravy. Stir constantly after adding the milk so the gravy thickens smoothly.

Classis Biscuits and Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 roll Bob Evans Original Roll Pork Sausage 16 oz this is my favorite, you can use any type of sausage
- 1/3 cup flour
- 3 cups milk
- Ground pepper to taste
- 1 pkg Flaky Biscuits or homemade biscuits whichever you personally prefer
Instructions
- Spray cookie sheet with non-stick spray, then lightly wipe it off, just leaving it lightly sprayed
- Open biscuits and place biscuits on the cookie sheet then set this aside Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- The reason I heat it now is because I want it to temp when putting in biscuits
- Open sausage roll and put all the sausage into a frying pan and begin to brown in the frying pan over medium heat. Breaking up the sausage as it browns. Do Not drain any grease in the pan.
- Once the sausage is browned add 1/3 cup of flour to the sausage and mix it in thoroughly. Stir constantly
- Place all the biscuits on the cookie sheet and put in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Add 3 cups of milk to the sausage mixture and heat on medium till it starts to thicken, simmer on low and still constantly stir.
- While the sausage gravy is simmering add pepper to taste also if it gets too thick add a little more mile to get the consistency you are looking for.
- After the biscuits are done, split the biscuits into half. Use a ladle to spoon the sausage mixture over the cooked biscuits and serve
